Welcome! I’m Catherine Walker. I manage a team of developers at Microsoft’s Bing Maps since 2007 when Microsoft bought out my former employer, online mapping company Multimap.com. My background is in turning the spatial data supplied by business partners such as Ordnance Survey and Tele Atlas into the core functions of a mapping website: maps, travel directions and geocoding tools. My team now works on tools that help developers create applications with Bing Maps on mobile devices.
I play real tennis, mainly at Lord’s and Hatfield House. I like cycling, travelling and coming home to London.
